Description

Beyond Dune is a parody of the epic science fiction novel and film Dune, written and directed by David Luch.

The game takes place in the distant future, in a feudal interstellar society in which the noble houses that control individual planets are subordinate to the Padishah-Emperor. Dune tells the story of young Paul Atreides, whose noble family takes control of the desert planet Arrakis.

Since this planet is the only source of "spicy" melange, the most important and valuable substance in the universe, control of Arrakis is a desirable and dangerous task. The story explores the multi-layered interplay of politics, religion, ecology, technology, and human emotions as the forces of the empire oppose each other in a struggle for control of Arrakis and its spices.
